ATHOS EMFIALOTIKI SA aiming at removing any potential health risk of the consumer, has received since 2002 a HACCP certificate. This guarantees that all the rules of health, safety and hygiene are met regarding the company’s facilities and equipment, procedures for maintenance, cleaning and disinfection of the premises, procedures for the insects’ repellence and rodenticide, the staff’s hygiene, the manner and conditions of storage of the products, the transport conditions and quality requirements for products. Since 2005 the company started implementing the ELOT EN ISO 22000: 2005 quality management system concerning table water production, which guarantees the products’ safety from the production line up to the final consumption. In addition to the constant checks that are carried out daily in the modern and organized microbiology laboratory of ATHOS EMFIALOTIKI SA, the collaboration with the Analytical Chemistry Department of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is also very important where the company often sends samples of its product for further analysis, but also the collaboration with two certified external laboratories for microbiological and physico-chemical analysis.
